Notes:
August 2008: These two adults have never been bred before - so we are really hoping things go well and they both do the deed! So far signs are encouraging, mating has been witnessed on one occasion already when we were only expecting this to happen by late August. We are very excited about these two, they are both lovely natured animals with the looks to boot!
October 2008: This pair have been going at it like rabbits for the last month and a half, now its just the waiting game to see if she ovulates for us! She is also refusing food which may be a good sign, but doesn't appear to be very swollen as yet.
December 2008: We are still waiting on the female to shed for us, other than this every other sign seems to be great. She is refusing food, laying belly up on occasion, and she definately feels to have eggs. Maybe she will be one of those rare females who won't shed before laying, as it has already been around 6 weeks from her suspected ovulation.
January 2009: Layed 19 good eggs on the 12th December, with no slugs! I thought that was a pretty good effort seeing as it was her first breeding. The eggs have started pipping today, it is amazing watching their little heads poke out and seeing the world for the first time. It seems two have passed away while in the egg, very sad as they were candled only two nights ago and were still moving. So these hatchies will be ready to go to their new homes once they have a good feeding and shedding record!

Notes:
August 2008: As with the previous pair, neither have been bred before so we will see how things go. We have a suspicion the female might be too young still, but we have paired them just in case she feels she is ready. She has remarkable bold brick red colouring, while although the male is duller - carries the pattern we are striving for, with a lovely freckled almost granite like appearance.
October 2008: The male has been showing interest for a month or so now, but the female has never responded, until last week. They have been caught copulating at least three times now, maybe we'll get a clutch from her after all. Only time will tell!
December 2008: Female is now going into shed, whether this is a prelay or not we will have to wait and see. She is still accepting food and doesn't appear to be swollen much as yet, fingers crossed though.
January 2009: She is well past her laying due date judging by last shed, and is accepting food with vigour so sadly wasnt gravid. Just makes something to look forward to next season, by then she should be well and truly ready!
Notes:
January 2009: Mating witnessed on the 10th of January, due to lay any day now. First lot of Pilbarensis should be available roughly June.
February 2009: Eggs laid on the 5th, expecting another clutch hopefully at the end of the month.
